Annual Services
The Annual Service includes all the items performed under the Inspection Service plus the following:
Air Induction and Exhaust System
● Replace the air filter if needed
● Inspect the turbocharger for proper end play of the rotating
assembly
● Inspect air inlet tubing and hoses.
Cooling System
● Take coolant samples and provide laboratory analysis. Provide a written report of findings.
Test the following:
○ Elemental Metals (12) by ICP
○ PH
○ Glycol %
○ Freeze Point
○ Boil Point
○ Nitrite
○ Total Dissolved Solids
○ Specific Conductance
○ Total Hardness
● Check the radiator cap for the correct pressure rating. Replace if out of specification.
● Check the radiator cap with pressure test equipment.
● Check radiator cap sealing gasket and neck sealing surfaces for any signs of deterioration.
Replace the sealing gasket if needed. Note the condition in the report.
● Inspect the radiator, coolant hoses, and belts.
● Verify all hose clamps are tight.
● Inspect and tighten belts if loose.
Fuel System
● Replace all primary and secondary fuel filters.
● Verify no leaks present.
● Verify unit fuel pressure
Lube Oil System
● Change crankcase oil and oil filters.
● Verify no oil leaks are present
Monitors and Safety Controls
● Check oil pressure, coolant temperature, and alternator gauges for accuracy.
● Check coolant temperature and oil temperature sending unit switches.
Generator AC Power Unit
● Lubricate the generator end bearing. Check condition.
Generator Mechanical
● Inspect bearings for grease leakage and external discoloration
● Check exciter clearance (air gap)
● Inspect AC and DX conductors for insulation damage within the generator enclosure
● Check and adjust valves if out of the manufacturer’s specification
Generator Control Panel
● Inspect the free movement of circuit breakers and tighten all connections
● Vacuum/clean engine generator set control panel
● Vacuum/clean engine generator set connection enclosure
Operations Check
● The generator will be run for a minimum of 20 minutes for operational testing.
Reports
● The technician will provide written documentation noting all findings including necessary corrections, repairs and/or replacements required to maintain the functional integrity of the system.
